explore our rituals

True calm rarely comes from big changes. More often it grows out of small moments that accumulate over time. These little rituals repeated often enough start to change the rhythm of a home.

the sleep hygiene signal

About an hour before bed, light a candle on the bedside table and give your pillow a spritz of Sunny Sunday. Over time your brain starts to recognize the sensory signals. The day is ending. Put the phone away. And slip into the sheets feeling like royalty, no matter your threadcount. Keep some hand salve or your favorite lotion by the bed too, and rub it into your hands to prevent cracks and relieve sore muscles. Dreamland awaits.

the workday check-in

If you work at a desk or in some sort of office-like setting, keep a candle in your workspace. Light it when the day begins or when your focus starts to drift. When you look at it, pair a habit of taking a deep breath, closing your eyes for a moment, and doing a small stretch before returning to the task at hand. No angry DM’s today, Satan.

the dishwashing trick

Keep a candle and a bar of nourishing soap near the kitchen sink. Light the candle before washing dishes and let the chore turn into ten minutes of low-pressure attention and noticing the relaxing feel of warm water. When the kitchen is clean, your hands will be moisturized and the room will no longer smell of Garlic Fish Kimchee Surprise.

the laundry meditation

Before folding the pile of laundry, spray the warm pile lightly with our Sunny Sunday linen spray. You’ll bring attention to the senses - a key step in finding a moment of mindfulness during a mundane task - and enjoy the scent later when you pull the clothes from the drawer.

The hygge [hoo-guh] home hack

Before guests arrive, reset the room with a candle or quick spray on the couch. And when you visit someone else, candles make an easy gift that lasts longer than flowers and offers your host an experience to savor once you’ve finally gone home. Just kidding, you’re the best.
